Daily Temple Timings (Nitya Karyakram)
The Kaleshwaram temple follows a strict daily routine starting from the early hours of the morning until the night.
04:30 AM to 05:30 AM: Suprabhatam (Waking up the deities)
05:30 AM to 06:30 AM: Mahanyasa Purvaka Abhishekam, Morning Pujas, and Shashwat (Perpetual) Pujas
06:30 AM to 12:30 PM: General Darshan and Additional Pujas
10:30 AM to 11:30 AM: Nitya Shiva Kalyanam
12:30 PM to 01:00 PM: Maha Nivedana (Offering) to Swamy and Anna Puja
01:30 PM to 04:00 PM: Dwar Bandhan (Temple Closed for Afternoon Break)
04:00 PM to 06:30 PM: Temple Reopens - General Darshan and Puja Programs
06:30 PM to 07:30 PM: Nishi Puja (Night Puja)
07:30 PM to 08:00 PM: Bhajans
08:00 PM onwards: Harati, Mantra Pushpam, and Prasad Distribution, followed by Dwar Bandhan (Temple Closed for the Night)
Special Weekly Programs
Depending on the day of the week, special Abhishekams and Alankarams are offered to specific deities within the temple complex.
Monday: Mahanyasa Purvaka Rudrabhishekam for Lord Shiva (5:00 AM to 6:30 AM).
Tuesday: Special Abhishekam & Alankaram for Sri Subrahmanya Swamy (6:00 AM), and Special Puja for Sri Vijaya Ganesh (6:00 AM to 7:00 AM).
Tuesday & Friday: Special Abhishekam for Goddess Parvati and Goddess Saraswati (starts at 5:00 AM).
Tuesday & Saturday: Abhishekam for Sri Hanuman (starts at 8:00 AM).
Thursday: Special Abhishekam & Alankaram for Sri Dattatreya Swamy (starts at 6:00 AM).
Saturday: Special Shani Puja for devotees (6:00 AM to 1:00 PM).
Sunday: Special Abhishekam & Alankaram for Sri Suryanarayana Swamy (starts at 6:00 AM).
Special Programs During Shravana & Kartika Masam
During the highly auspicious Hindu months of Shravana and Kartika, the temple sees a massive influx of devotees. Special programs run throughout these months:
Shravana Masam (August/September):
Daily Swamy Abhishekam accompanied by Kunkumarchana for Mataji.
Daily Ashtottara Puja and Maha Nivedana.
Special Kunkuma Puja for Parvati and Saraswati Matas.
Pradosha Puja (Evening), Night Nivedana, and Akhanda Deeparadhana.
Grand Shiva Abhishekam on all Shravana Mondays.
Anna Puja, which is considered a major specialty of the Kshetram during this month.
Kartika Masam (November/December):
All the daily pujas conducted during Shravana Masam are also observed in Kartika Masam.
Vaikuntha Chaturdashi: Special Abhishekam and Bhajans are performed exactly at midnight (Lingodbhava time).
Kartika Purnima: Grand and special Abhishekams are performed for the deities.
